We dont pick who we fall in-love with...

Here I go again. This is an after-effect of watching too much love stories so please have a basket full of patience if you intend to finish reading this entry.

Though this is not a new line, I love this dialogue in the movie we just watched: We dont pick who we fall in-love with... Oh yes. It is so, so true. This can probably the reason why there are pairs that seem to be odd: tall girl with a so short man;and intelligent girl married to an average guy; head-turner gal holding hands with not-so-goodlooking boy. And love being "magical" and "mysterious" does'nt stop here. We can never tell. I have a friend who got married to his college teacher and a schoolmate who got married to her bigtime crush that never gave her the attention she has been dreaming of since elementary days. For sure, a lot of you got more fascinating love stories to share and these might not be too shocking for you. But it is, at least, for me.

Shudders and giggles aside, we certainly cannot choose who we fall in-love with. It will come from nowhere and  we will be caught unaware that we started to fall slowly. But it is not because we feel something special about a person, we can say that he is "the one" already.  Will a boy fall for a girl who's already committed with another boy? Yes, this is so possible, but it is rightful and just? Will you choose to  be in the  "loving arms" of a drug addict o a drug lord? There are some who will readily get into this. Would that be good? Definitely not.We don't pick who we fall in-love with but we do have guide to avoid getting caught in a serious trouble because of falling in-love.  Be very careful of the character of the person you'll get involved with. Always  be guided by God's words. Remember this verse:

Proverbs 19:14
House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.

Do not do things your way. God has something good for each one of us. Just follow Him first and everything will follow. We should entrust things to Him. He knows best.

Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God,and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Falling in-love and getting into a relationship is a serious commitment. We should know. It is not all about snuggling, hugging, holding hands and sweet-nothings.  It is not like a fairy tale story that, most of the time, ends happily everafter. Its a promise. A commitment that we should keep. We are all aware that in anything, along the way problems pop up. Conflicts arise. Intruders get into the scene. Always remember that we are tied in a covenant.

Galatians 3:15
Brothers and sisters, let me take an example from everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or add to a human covenant that has been duly established, so it is in this case.

And with this commitment, we should learn to accept our partner's shortcomings and lapses. Who does'nt commit mistakes, anyway? As what Bro. Eli Soriano told us weeks ago: Marry a person who loves you so much. True, indeed because a person who is deeply in-love can accept and endure anything for the love of his life.

Before I end this blog, there is one very important pointer I want to share (I learned this, of course, from Bro. Eli Soriano), never ever select a person who will keep you away from God and bring you to danger instead. If that would be the case, let go. The pain will not last a lifetime, anyway. There is more to life than having a lovelife.Well, no need to say more. Be wise!

The False Prophets and Their Insane Prophesies

The number of persons who preach using the name of God, is increasing in number. They also dare to have prediction of what will happen in the future, particularly about the coming of Christ. Little do they know that the bible already knew they were coming.

Matthew 24:11, 24
...and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
...For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Today, another false prophet in the person of Harold Camping,  is proven wrong. This 89 year-old man "prophesied" that Jesus Christ's second coming is 21 May, 2011 and world will end on 21 Oct 2011. And today is 21 May 2011, and what he said did not take place. This is no the first time he  predicted  about this. Sometime in 1994, he presented his insights about the upcoming rapture, and obviously, it did not happen. Reason behind? Nobody knows the exact time and day that Jesus will descend from heavens, only the Father.

Matthew 24:36
But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.

Anyone who dare use God's name in anything he say and that thing never happen, then he is surely a liar and arrogant. God commanded us not to believe.

Deutoronomy 18:22
When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken, but the prophet has spoken it presumptuously: you shall not be afraid of him.

However, even this deceivers have been proven  wrong and exposed, it is really sad to know hat there are still some that undoubtedly listen and believe. Blind followers, no doubt. Well, whatever, wherever, whenever- the bible has always something to say.

Matthew 15:14
Let them alone: they are blind guides. And if the blind guide the blind, both shall fall into a pit.

Here are some false prophets' predictions in the past that never come into reality.

Jehovah's Witness

Mr. William Miller
1843 and 21 March 1844

On 21 December 2012, we have this another falacy about the end of he world. Ridiculous, really. This is the fruit of not knowing the real God.

Among predictions that we have heard for ages, Nostradamus' is I think the most famous- and many believes in him. This famous physician, astrologer and "prophet" of his time, I assume, is an intelligent man. However, he disappointed me having these predictions. He should have concentrated in astrology and medicine. Man's intelligence is nothing to God. Besides, only God is the authority on knowing the future.

Why shall we rely on these demon-inspired "prophesies"? There is no basis but the bible alone. All things that wants us to follow and listen to is written there. Let's just be ready all the time because He will come back as a surprise and pity on us all if we are not prepared.

Matthew 24:44
So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

Thanks be to God, that because of Bro Eli Soriano, noboby can deceive us as we are equipped with the correct knowledge from the bible.
